GEOMETRIC ABSTRACT ARTAlthough the 1960s were in some ways troubled times, the period also saw a burst of optimism. In music and fashion, artists such as The Beatles and Mary Quant produced works that reflected a new less constrained spirit and a new way of looking at things. Bright and bold colors reflected the character of this spirit.
